Whenever i look for trends i like to go to my favorite website http://www.fashionising.com !
They are always on point so below are a few things from their website that i found very interesting and i think that a lot of my readers can relate to them.
Autumn (fall) / winter 2011 women's themes
70s fashion
" Just as the '50s and '60s are back, so too are particular elements of the '70s. There are two main aesthetics: '70s bohemian, and '70s sophisticated glamour. "Autumn (fall) / winter 2011 women's
Pleats
" Able to be worn softly or with an edge, they're a style that might seem ever-green - but don't let that fool you. Pleats are at the fore in 2011 with the cut being carried effortlessly from spring in autumn / fall. "Layered pleats at Richard Chai A/W '11
The main difference for fall is how you style it. Here are some styling tips for the colder weather:
- Pair a sunray pleat maxi-dress with socks or tights and heels, and some cosy layers on top. Having your soft, pleated gown flowing out from under a coat or jacket is simple yet effective.
- Play it down in a rock-chic pair of boots instead of heels.
- Mix styles for contrasts, like the dreamiest of pleated skirts with a bohemian fur or a tough biker jacket.
Fur clothing
" It's a fabric that divides people through its controversy, and one that has been a small part of autumn / fall / winter collections in recent years. During autumn (fall) / winter 2011 it all changes and fur clothing plays a large role in many of the collections from the world's biggest fashion houses."Faux fur
"The choice to wear or not wear fur is entirely up to your personal beliefs; what we would say is that any of the on-trend styles in 2011 and beyond can work in either real fur or faux fur, as long as the latter is of quality."

Colored fur
" Natural fur colors are still the most prominent, from snowy white to grey, brown to black. But 2011 has also heralded in the aforementioned trend of brightly colored furs. Dyed to unnatural colors like bold shades of purple, green, red or blue, these are furs that stand out doubly much."
Fur for men
" Think fur as a runway trend has only been for women? Think again. While nowhere near as prominent, fur for men did feature on many a fall 2011 menswear catwalk. Lagging a little behind womenswear, 2011 showed hints of the primitive pelt styles for men, spotted at the likes of Qasimi Homme and Balmain. And while full fur coats had their time on several runways the takes most likely to translate to the street are the pieces of outerwear with fur trim, like parkas with fur-lined hoods or fur-collared overcoats. If you're looking to venture into fur coat territory as a male however, we'd recommend aviator styles as the key in 2011; fur can work as a trim in place of shearling."

Bell bottoms
"With skinny pants and jeans now so common that they no longer make a statement it was inevitable that a different style would emerge as a trend. It didn't necessarily have to be this one, but with the come back of all things 1970s it was inevitable that fashion forward people would turn to bell bottoms and flared pants as a style of choice. "
Bell bottoms and flares for men
"Acne have nailed the men's look as a part of their spring / summer 2011 collection, with two interpretations of men's flared jeans pictured below. The first is a look perfect for early autumn / fall 2011 trends while the second is more suited to spring / summer and, being hatted, has something of a beachwear overtone to it."
