Givenchy Spring/Summer 2010 Sneakers

Spring/Summer 2010 sneaker collection by French high fashion brand Givenchy. The brand worked on a low top and a super high top for the season. Both come in gold metallic, white and black. The most interesting design feature of the two silhouettes is probably the open construction, making them suitable for the hot summer days.

For most of you, these two styles might be a little too extreme. We think that that is exactly what high fashion should be doing. Rather than copying and getting inspired by athletic footwear brands, we want to see them go further, of course only in terms of style, we do not expect the technology to be up there. The design should be innovative and frankly it should not be for everyone. After all nobody feels like spending above 500 USD on his sneakers and then seeing tons of other people in the same ones.

Dr. Martens Spring/Summer 2010 Lookbook

I decided to do a post on these because i see a lot of females wearing these boots now. But I don't think i would ever own a pair because i don't think they would look nice on my feet

Dr. Martens releases its Spring/Summer 2010 catalog, and inside we get a good impression of the feel of the collection. Consisting predominantly of the popular eight eyelet boot in interesting new colors we get an immediate understanding of the direction the English label wanted to take. From soft tones to more extreme hues the vastness and diversity of the collection provides for a large selection. What caught my eyes were the rose patterned boots coming in three different styles, as well as the black, brown and grey mids.

Finding its way back to the sneaker market, Android Homme drops the Android Homme Propulsion II Zinc Metal shoes. Going back to the hi top design they first dropped in 2009, the Propulsion II now comes in a shiny new zinc color. The upper is made of leather, and the white mid sole grounds these in true sneaker style.

Is it me or does this collection seem a little bit different. 

Celebrating the aerodynamic design of the classic messenger bag, Louis Vuitton unveiled new bags from their upcoming Spring 2010 season. Aside from the functional aspect of the bags, the famous label created a high-performance platform, combining rugged nylon and neoprene material choices with an always recognizable fashion-forward approach. Marc Jacobs Footwear for S/S 2010

Marc Jacobs brings us the preview of his new Spring/Summer 2010 footwear line, this collection is a very subtle; yet creative one. The collection includes two pairs of super high-tops in navy blue or gray; they look vaguely like a pair of super high-top Rick Owens. Next, the line includes two pairs of mid-top sneakers in white or black, with a checkered upper and somewhat vulcanized sole. We also see two pairs of suede desert boot/low-top with a suede and metal strap; in either gray or brown. Lastly, we see a creative pair of navy blue and white leather low-tops, with an almost “brogued” toe, and three metal eyelets. This line is very clean and simple, but it has a lot of umph in it.

KR3W Footwear 2010 – The Franklin

 

As of recently we have been seeing allot from US  company KR2W’s expansion into men’s footwear. Here we have a preview of the KR3W Footwear 2010 – The Franklin; a high top,  an almost boot length, eight eyelet sneaker that comes in a series of colors and materials including black brown, grey in materials like canvas, leather and suede. We’ve seen an increase in the length of sneakers, due mostly to Supra’s, and one highly influential raising local rap star. KR3W Footwear, a Supra sister company continues in this tradition with its KR3W Footwear – Grey Canvas Series. The collection includes several different shoe models (hi, mid, low and ankle) including The Franklin, Jackson, Grant and Grant Lowall in the same off grey and black colorway.
